THEATRE METHODS 09: International Festival-Fair
Between Tradition and Contemporaneity

"Theatre Methods" is the annual professional festival-fair dedicated to the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The festival is an opportunity to demonstrate methods of training in traditional theatre and to present contemporary works created as the result of traditional theatre training techniques. At the moment THEATRE METHODS 09 has been accepting presentation proposals.
Presentation format:
• performance (not requiring special technical conditions)
• workshop/master class
• work in progress
• reading/lecture• any other way of demonstration to the presenter's discretion.
The festival is aimed at new international contacts, creative exchange and communication. "TM" does not imply opportunity of a one-day tour. Important condition of "TM" is that performers and theatres presenting works at the festival participate in the whole programme from the first to the last day - attending other festival events, workshops, performances, etc.

If you wish to present your work at TM09, please become familiar with Submission Guidelines before submitting your proposal. The festival committee is considering proposals in appropriate standard only. Links to web sites are not considered as the application.

Performing Arts Training International Conference
October 24-27, 2008: Bovec, Slovenia
The conference is open to professional performers, performing arts educators and teachers from all over the world interested in the research of topical questions and processes in contemporary performing arts education and training. At the moment the Conference is accepting presentation proposals.

All materials will be displayed at the main information stand and will be available to the delegates during the entire period of the conference.

International Physical Theatre Laboratory
October 19-27, 2008 - Bovec, Slovenia
PROGRAM
Physical training is the core of the Lab program. Participants will explore physicality as the key to form, style, atmosphere and emotional palette in contemporary performance. The process includes intensive practical training, lectures and discussion club. The Lab is open to performers from different countries and backgrounds inspired by Physical Theater as a bold, vibrant and multidimensional approach to contemporary theatre performance.
PARTICIPANTS
Actors of physical, dramatic, dance and musical theatres, circus performers, dancers, choreographers and directors.
REGISTRATION
Candidates should send a CV (resume) and a brief letter of motivation to lab@iugte.com stating the title, dates and place of the event.
The Lab will take place in the beautiful Bovec town located in the heart of the Julian Alps. During the Lab, hotel accommodation (eight nights) and meals are provided for participants. For more details, click here.
